A universal maintenance product for all electric and electronic equipment: displaces and seals out moisture, protects against corrosion and oxidation and lubricates, penetrates and cleans, at the same time.

SELCO 56 is a stable, inert organic formula, especially prepared to prevent and repair electrical failures due to moisture, corrosion, dirt or friction. Its effectiveness is the result of the following properties :

A very low surface tension, high capillary action and strong affinity for metals, gives it great penetrating and spreading powers (expected coverage + 140 m2/liter). Therefore the microscopic film will spread under any moisture, covering the total surface by penetrating into the finish pores and cracks. Penetration continues for 24 hours, which is important for complete moisture elimination. It will at the same time release rusted and frozen parts.

The continuous molecular film is self-repairing, never becomes dry or brittle and seals the surface against future moisture and corrosion. The special corrosion protection properties result from a multiple, complex system of inhibitors dispersed in the non-volatile part of the product. Insulating film resists flow of corrosion current, passivation by bonding to active metal surface ions, elimination of electrolyte and corrosive media by film barrier.

The volatile part of SELCO 56, offers cleaning action as a supplementary benefit and will evaporate after 4-6 hours. The lubricity of the remaining film is excellent and offers precision lubrication where it is required. The high dielectric strength of SELCO 56, makes it ideal for high voltage applications. It does not increase electrical resistance but does restore electrical characteristics to their original value. The time of protection of SELCO 56, will vary with the environmental conditions and the best results will be obtained indoors. As it is a soft film which never dries, direct weathering exposure can limit the time of protection outdoors and would require repeated application.

SELCO 57, consists of a multiple organic inhibitor system in a paraffinic oil base that prevents rust and corrosion by displacing and sealing out moisture and by forming a continuous protection barrier against water and oxygen. It penetrates and lubricates.

SELCO 57, forms a thin, invisible film that never gets dry nor brittle, and penetrates into the finest pores and cracks of the surface. It does not have to be removed before the metal is machined, welded, stamped or otherwise processed. It can be applied on iron, steel, aluminium, brass, copper, and all other commonly used metals and alloys, regardless whether the surface is bare, painted or plated. It offers on especially effective protection against corrosive atmosphere containing salt acids, or caustic vapours. In addition to its corrosion protection properties, SELCO 57, has the advantage of great penetrating power and lubricity to cut through rust and to loosen and lubricate moving parts. This make SELCO 57 an ideal maintenance product.

SELCO 57, is easy to apply by spraying, brushing, wiping or dipping as conditions require. Its unique spreading and penetrating power ensures complete coverage and protection of the entire treated surface, including the finest precision mechanisms, pores and cracks. It leaves tolerances unchanged.

SELCO 57, is economical to use with an expected coverage of approximately 140 m2 per litre, and costs usually required for removal of other protective coatings are eliminated. The time of protection of SELCO 57, will vary with the environmental conditions. Because of its thin, soft film, which never dries, SELCO 57, is primarily for use indoors, and direct weathering exposures of the treated metals should be avoided. Where atmospheric conditions are severe, or for storage over longer periods.

SELCO 57, corresponds to US-Military Specifications MIL.-C-23411 (NATO Stock No. 8030-17). It is also certified SAFE according to the Lawrence Hydrogen Effusion Test (high strength steels - hydrogen embrittlement) and corresponds to many other specifications of manufacturers for military or industrial products.

SELCO CO CONTACT CLEANER is a mild, stable and inert cleaner, meant to clean highly sensitive electronic precision equipment. It is used for removal of light contaminants, dust, lint, moisture, atmospheric or light oils and has the following main characteristics :

CO CONTACT CLEANER, is sold only in aerosol containers to preserve high purity. High purity is necessary for cleaning of electronic components an contacts because residues of cleaning materials can also increase resistance to change capacitance of frequency. The content of insoluble residue in CO CONTACT CLEANER, is 10 parts per million or less.

SELCO CO CONTACT CLEANER, can be used as a supplement to or instead of vapour degreasing or ultrasonic cleaning. Disassembly and re-assembly of equipment components is eliminated because of cleaning thanks to the aerosol package.

How does CO CONTACT CLEANER work ?

Efficient and thorough cleaning results from a low surface tension and high density. The low surface tension permits penetration into microscopic pores and cracks and also allows for good wetting properties. The weight pressure from the high density aids in penetration. The pressure due to application by aerosol forces residual contamination from the surface and dissolved oils are removed with solvent in a matter of seconds.

AC-400 Autoconer Spray is a mild lubricant based on Synthetic Oils for application involving precision parts where sliding parts of minimum tolerances are present. It provides a very thin lubricating film and corrosion protection.

It is the most suitable for Splicers and Knotters of Autoconer Machines. It is also suitable for precision machines where small parts can be lubricated. It has a very thin film of lubricant.

SG-600 is a dispersion of Molybdenum Di-sulphide in a fast drying solvent system with a minimum amount of binder. The resultant film has superior adhesion and exceptional wear life.

This solid film lubricant prevents galling and seizing of mating metal surfaces under operating conditions of high loads and slow speeds. SG-600 is effective from -74°C to 400°C.

SG-600 is an excellent general purpose dry lubricant for a variety of uses. A thin film of SG-600 will allow effective assembly and disassembly of threaded connections without galling or seizing. In machine shops, apply to bed ways, guides, lead screws, dead centers etc, for smooth trouble-free operations. New and rebuilt parts treated with SG-600 will break-in with low friction and no surface damage during start up.

Surface to which the coating is to be applied should be clean and dry. Oil or grease films should be removed by solvent cleaning or vapour degreasing. If surfaces are heavily corroded or rusty, remove them by mechanical or chemical means.

The terms dry film lubricants or bonded coatings describe solid lubricants which are incorporated into a resin-like matrix of organic or inorganic binders. After drying the sliding film is resistant to high pressures and extreme temperatures and does not absorb dust and remains operational for a long time.
